Described as being capable to achieve “the driving dynamics of a sports car”, the new Porsche Cayenne features an evolutionary styling, and a completely redesigned cabin, with plenty of premium materials and the latest gadgets, available either as standard or as options.
There’s a 3.0-liter V6 engine that powers the company’s flagship SUV, rated at 340PS (335hp) and 450Nm (331lb-ft) of torque, which is married to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Buyers can also have the Cayenne in the ‘S’ specification, with a 440PS (434hp) and 550Nm (405lb-ft) of torque 2.9-liter twin-turbo mill, in addition to other units that will join the family.
The most powerful road-legal Porsche 911 ever, the GT2 RS, will also debut at the German event, next week. It was presented this summer, and uses the a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine that comes from the Turbo S and features larger turbos, water-spray cooling, and a titanium exhaust. The result is staggering: 700PS (690hp) and a 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint time of 2.8sec.
