The latest-generation 2021 BMW M3 and M4 have finally arrived and Autogefühl has had the opportunity to check out the two models in detail.
This clip includes both the M3 and M4 and focuses on both the exterior and interior designs of the two sports cars. The M4 Competition featured is painted in Sao Paulo Yellow while the M3 has a green paint finish.
The real headline of the new cars are their controversial kidney grilles. We’ve known they were coming for many months so we were not shocked to see them when BMW took the covers off. However, they remain a key point of contention and will likely continue to stir controversy for many years to come.

If you can look beyond the grille, however, the new M3 and M4 both have very appealing exterior designs. We’re particularly fond of the sleek M4 with its bespoke taillights that make it look like a baby version of the stunning M8.
Looks aside, the two models are powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six that produces 473 hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque in standard guise and 503 hp and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) in the M3 and M4 Competition. Standard models are rear-wheel drive and can be ordered with a six-speed manual, while the Competition models are sold exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an M xDrive all-wheel drive system that includes a rear-wheel drive mode.
