The Audi RS6 Avant has been a car that enthusiasts in the United States have been waiting years for and, back in March, the German automaker confirmed it would be heading to the States.
Deliveries only recently kicked off and Doug DeMuro has already had the opportunity to test out the new RS6 Avant in the U.S. This particular example is painted in a bright shade of red and not only is it one of the most aggressive wagons to look at, but it is also one of the most performance-oriented estates North America has ever seen.

DeMuro kicks off his review by talking about the exterior of the RS6 Avant before he moves on to the interior. While checking out the cabin, the seasoned reviewer notes the various technological features, which include the intriguing dual touchscreens that dominate the dashboard of the Audi as well as the digital instrument cluster.
One particularly helpful feature you’ll find inside the RS6 Avant is a camera system that shows a detailed 3D image of the wagon on the infotainment screen, something that will no doubt help while parking.
Towards the end of the review, DeMuro jumps behind the wheel of the RS6 Avant. Like the previous model, the new one is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 pumping out 592 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. Unlike the old RS6 Avant offered in other markets, though, this new one has a 48-volt mild hybrid system that improves power delivery and, at the same time, efficiency.
