Skoda has just announced pricing and specs for the all-new fourth generation Octavia RS (vRS) in the UK, with order books set to open on October 27 for the TSI gasoline model. First deliveries are expected before the end of the year.

Pricing starts from £31,495 (equal to $40,552 at the current exchange rates)) if you opt for the hatchback variant, or £32,695 ($42,100) if you want the Combi (wagon) model instead. Both are powered by the same 2.0-liter TSI unit with 242 HP (245 PS) and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque.

The launch model (2.0 TSI) will also get a manual gearbox, and will later be joined by the 2.0 TDI diesel variant with 197 HP (200 PS), as well as the electrified Octavia RS iV DSG.

At the rear, the hatchback comes with gloss black aero flaps, while both models feature chrome exhaust pipes and bespoke vRS(for the UK) badging as standard.

Meanwhile, the likes of full LED Matrix headlights with AFS, adaptive cruise control and front and rear parking sensors all come standard.

As for the interior, you get heated front sports seats, distinctive red stitching, carbon optic decorative strips, LED ambient lighting, black headlining, 10-inch sat-nav display, aluminum pedals, a three-spoke leather sports steering wheel with paddles (for DSG) and more.
