A lovingly restored and modified 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible needs a new home and is currently up for sale in California.
The seller of this Corvette acquired the American classic in 2009 and set about having the fiberglass re-finished in a shade of Silver Blue. During the comprehensive restoration, the car’s exterior chrome trim was also revitalized while a new windshield and convertible top were installed. In addition, the car has a new tube chassis.

Slotted under the hood is a 5.7-liter naturally-aspirated LS6 V8 engine sourced from a C5 Z06. This engine includes a modified camshaft and valvetrain, ceramic coated headers, and a DeWitts aluminum radiator with a 16-inch electric cooling fan. This engine was good for 385 hp when new and is mated to a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Other key modifications made to the car include 18-inch Boze forged aluminum wheels with 245/40 Diamond Black tires, adjustable Viking coilovers, and a Wilwood dual reservoir master cylinder. The steering, front suspension and front braking components were also sourced from a C5 Corvette while braking and suspension parts from a C4 model are found at the rear.
The Bring A Trailer listing confirms the interior has also been refreshed with new black leather across the Pontiac Fiero-sourced seats. The cabin also features new black carpeting, lap belts, Corvette logos on the seatbacks, a Vintage Air climate control system, and a Custom Autosound MP3 stereo. There is also a telescoping wood-rimmed steering wheel and while the odometer reads 11,000 miles, the car’s true mileage is unknown.
