With more and more supercars adopting forced induction, the Lamborghini Huracan Evo represents an old-school form of motoring thanks to its high-revving, naturally aspirated V10 engine.
Sure, the Huracan Evo will be left behind at a racetrack by rivals like the Ferrari F8 Tributo and McLaren 720S, but as Matt Farah recently discovered when driving the RWD model at the Willow Springs Raceway, the Lamborghini is exceptionally fun to drive and more than fast enough for anyone other than a professional race car driver.
During his review, Farah notes that while the Huracan Evo RWD does not have the all-wheel drive system of the standard model, it provides very good levels of grip. Moreover, it offers a purer driving experience than the all-wheel drive variant and makes for a very good value proposition.

Like the regular model, the Huracan Evo RWD features a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10, but its powertrain has been detuned from 631 hp and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque to 602 hp and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm). It is still paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission although, in addition to ditching the all-wheel drive system, it also lacks the four-wheel steering of its AWD sibling. As such, it is 0.4 seconds slower to 62 mph (100 km/h), needing 3.3 seconds to hit that mark, and 0.3 seconds slower to hit 124 mph (200 km/h) with a time of 9.3 seconds.
However, if you’re not concerned with numbers on a spec sheet, the Evo RWD could very well be the Huracan to buy for pure driving pleasure.
