The Ford Focus RS RX that was driven by Ken Block in Gymkhana Nine: Raw Industrial Playground sold for $200,000 during a recent Barrett-Jackson auction.
Block’s wild Focus RS RX was built for his entry in the FIA World Rallycross Championship and is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine muscling out 600 hp. This engine was designed by M-Sport and Ford Performance, as was the body of the car.

Elsewhere, the Focus RS RX is riding on Reiger suspension with a seam-welded and reinforced chassis while the engine is mated to a Sadev five-speed sequential transmission with a Sadev rear differential and a Sadev center differential release unit. Rallycross cars like this can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 2 seconds and we’ve got no reason to doubt Block’s former ride isn’t just as accelerative.
Other unique features of the car include O.Z. Racing 17-inch wheels that are clad in FIA-homologated rallycross tires. It also features an FIA-spec roll cage, Recaro seats, an M-Sport multi-function steering wheel, and Cosworth engine management and data logging.
All of the funds raised by the auction will benefit Team Rubic, a charity whose mission is to provide relief to those affected by disaster.
“We raised $200k for Team Rubicon at the Barrett-Jackson auto auction yesterday!!” Block said after the auction. “That $200k will go to help support Team Rubicon’s efforts to aid in disaster and humanitarian needs, including the recent hurricanes and Covid-19 relief. BIG thanks to everyone, including the new owner of my Ford Focus RS RX, along with Barrett-Jackson for helping support this great cause.”
