The Bentley Bentayga is among the most luxurious SUVs currently on sale and it’s also pretty quick, even when equipped with the entry-level V8 engine.
Those looking for a Bentayga with as much performance as possible can purchase the recently-facelifted Speed that has a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 pumping out 626 hp and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. According to Bentley, these figures allow the British SUV to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in an impressive 3.9 seconds and reach a 190 mph (306 km/h) top speed.

However, the standard model which is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that delivers 542 HP (550 PS / 405 kW) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque is no slouch either.
While recently testing the luxury SUV on the Autobahn, AutoTopNL needed 4.18 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h), less than three tenths of a second slower than Bentley’s official quote for the Bentayga Speed. The twin-turbo V8 continues to provide solid performance beyond that mark, as it hit 124 mph (200 km/h) in 14.97 seconds and did the quarter-mile in 12.17 seconds.
The V8-powered Bentley Bentayga was ultimately taken to a GPS-verified top speed of 285 km/h (177 mph), which is pretty impressive for an SUV of this size and heft.
