The controversial looks of the new BMW M4 have certainly rubbed a few people the wrong way but these renderings prove that with some major modifications, it is possible to draw your eyes away from the gargantuan kidney grilles.

This wild creation comes from rendering artist Brad Builds (no affiliation!) and depicts the M4 as a go-anywhere camper offering enough sleeping space for one person.

Viewed from the front, it’s impossible not to notice the insane off-road tires and black wheels that stick out several inches from the wheel arches. These tires would no doubt impact the drivability of the car on the street but would make it perfect for crossing difficult terrain. Complementing these new wheels and tires is a jacked-up suspension system to increase the ride height.

Then comes the wild camper section of the build. The camper sits across the rear half of the M4 and would necessitate cutting off part of the BMW’s roof, completely removing the rear window, and cutting through the decklid and tailgate. It looks utterly bizarre but fortunately, is nothing more than a design concept that will never see the light of day.

With that being said, we have come across many wild, custom-built overland vehicles throughout the years and wouldn’t put it past someone with enough money to turn a vehicle like the M4 into something you can comfortably live out of.
