The Ferrari F8 Tributo has already proved its mettle in all sorts of tests, but how fast is it in a straight-line acceleration and at the track against the clock with a professional racing driver behind the wheel?
AutoBildSportsCars put Guido Naumann in the driver’s seat of the Italian supercar, strapped a camera to his helmet and let him push it to its limits at the Lausitzring, where it posted a 1:29.06.

The unofficial lap time puts the F8 Tributo a few tenths of a second ahead of the Porsche 911 Turbo S, and in front of the 812 Superfast too, which lapped the racetrack in 1:31.67. The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ was a second faster than the Prancing Horse, while the Porsche 911 GT2 RS sits in a different league, with 1:25.91.
Before chewing through its Michelin Cup 2 tires at the German racetrack, the F8 Tributo was subjected to a straight-line acceleration, from 0 to 100, 200 and 300 km/h (62/124/186 mph), posting 2.8, 7.8 and 20.1 seconds respectively.
According to the official spec sheet, it needs only 2.9 seconds to sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph), and 7.8 seconds to accelerate to 200 km/h (124 mph), while flat out, it will do 340 km/h (211 mph).
Succeeding the 488 GTB, the F8 Tributo is powered by a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 that produces 720 PS (710 HP / 530 kW) at 8,000 rpm and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque at 3,250 rpm. U.S. pricing starts at almost $300,000.
