BMW enthusiasts now have the opportunity to drive an M4 GT4 at the BMW Performance Center West at the Thermal circuit in California.

The first new addition to the curriculum is the ‘BMW M and M4 GT4 Experience’ that’s priced at $2,795. In this program, students have a classroom session about proper driving techniques before heading out onto the track and driving an M4 GT4 behind a BMW instructor. This program includes VBOX data and video files that students can keep, lunch at the BMW Performance Center café, and insurance.

Those wanting some extra seat time can go with the ‘M4 GT4 Private Coaching with Data & Video’ program for $4,995. This half-day program includes 125 miles of track driving in the M4 GT4 and all the same extra perks as the $2,795 program.

The most expensive program will set students back $9,995 for a full day that includes 250 miles of track driving in the M4 GT4 race car. It’s significantly more expensive than the previous one, but you do get to drive the racer for double the mileage.

The final program offered is dubbed ‘Race License School: The Path to Professional’ and costs $2,495. It is available to those who want more training after the Advanced M School or Two-Day M School and wish to make the first steps to becoming a pro driver. It is SCCA-certified and includes lessons about the green, yellow, and red flags, how to safely overtake under braking and acceleration, and involves various practice race starts.

BMW introduced the M4 GT4 race car for the 2018 racing season. It is based on the street-legal model and features a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six producing more than 430 hp, depending on class regulations, that’s coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with a mechanical limited-slip differential.
