Retaining the timeless looks of the original models, this new Cobra Superblower packs a Falcon Electric powertrain that unleashes a total output of 617 HP (625 PS / 460 kW) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. With a gross weight of under 2,625 lbs (1,190 kg), it takes 3.8 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill, and can drive for an estimated 200 miles (322 km) thanks to its 54 kWh battery pack, which also supports 6 kW charging.
“Eliminating excess weight brings with it positive benefits for the car’s owner”, said Alan Lubinsky, the chief of AC Cars. “Lower overall weight reduces energy consumption, allowing the batteries to deliver a longer range and the ability to drive the car to AC’s traditional high standards for speed and acceleration, which the marque has achieved over many years.”
Customers will have to choose between 15 paint finishes for the new Cobra Series 4-electric. These are called the Electric Orange, Electric Green, Electric White, Electric Black, Electric Blue, Beige, Black, Wimbledon White, Sky Blue, Mist Silver, Light Green, Rosso Chiaro, Princess Blue, Guardsman Blue and British Racing Green.
