With FCA already hard at work assembling the new Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid at its Toledo North plant in Ohio, it was only a matter of time before pricing was announced.
The 2021 Wrangler Sahara 4xe and Wrangler Rubicon 4xe carry MSRPs of $47,995 and $51,695 respectively, both prices excluding the available $7,500 federal tax credit and any additional eligible state/local credits, as well as a $1,495 destination charge.
Deliveries for the electrified Wrangler are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2021.

“The 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the greenest, most efficient and capable Wrangler we have created yet,” said Jeep boss Christian Meunier. “We are committed to making Jeep the greenest SUV brand, and the new Wrangler 4xe is part of that goal, delivering an efficient, eco-friendly and fun-to-drive experience both on- and off-road.”
Both Wrangler 4xe specs are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline unit and two electric motors that put out a combined 375 HP (380 PS) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque. Meanwhile, a 17 kWh lithium-ion battery provides an all-electric range of up to 25 miles (40 km) and an estimated 50 MPGe.
As for equipment, the Wrangler Sahara 4xe Launch Edition comes with 20-inch wheels, leather-trimmed bucket seats, LED Lighting Group, the Uconnect 4C Nav with 8.4-inch display, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system with subwoofer and a 552-watt amplifier, Jeep’s 2.72:1 Selec-Trac Full-Time 4WD system and Dana 44 HD wide axles.
The Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Launch Edition adds the LED Lighting Group and a more capable 4:1 Rock-Trac Heavy Duty Full-Time 4WD system.
