Fiat 500X sales have slowed to a trickle in the United States, but the model is returning for 2021 with a handful of updates.
The big news for 2021 is a Sport Value Package for the 500X Sport. It includes $3,400 worth of content for just $700.
Among the amenities included in the package are LED lighting units, a dual-pane sunroof and 19-inch alloy wheels. The package also includes GPS navigation, a Beats premium audio system and heated front seats. Rounding out the highlights are a windshield wiper deicer and front / rear park assist.

Additional changes are limited, but the Pop and Trekking variants receive new upholstery as well as revised dashboard inserts. Speaking of the latter, the 500X Pop has a matte blue techno insert while the 500X Trekking has a matte grey insert.
Under the hood, there’s a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 177 hp (132 kW / 179 PS) and 210 lb-ft (285 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission which sends power to a standard all-wheel drive system.
Pricing starts at $24,480 for the 500X Pop and $26,245 for the 500X Trekking. Likewise, the 500X Sport retails for $27,145 while the range-topping 500X Trekking Plus costs $29,745.
The 2021 500X will be the only Fiat offered in America as the 124 Spider and 500L are being discontinued. This follows the death of the 500 in 2019 and leaves the brand seemingly destined to leave the United States in the future.
That remains to be seen, but their soon to be sole remaining product – the 500X – only racked up 1,130 sales in the first three quarters of 2020. Even before the coronavirus pandemic, 500X sales plummeted to 2,518 units in 2019.
Note: Prices exclude a $1,495 destination charge
