The first Ram 1500 TRX rolled off the assembly line a little over a month ago and, as promised, it’s being auctioned off for charity.
The high-performance pickup will go up for grabs at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction on March 26th.
Since Barrett-Jackson has agreed to waive all fees, 100% of the sale price will go to charity. This time around, the companies are supporting Southeast Michigan’s 2-1-1 helpline which provides services to veterans and their families.

Besides the truck, the winning bidder will receive a unique authentication kit. It includes a “presentation box with a bound book custom-developed by the Ram brand team, which highlights the vehicle’s design development, exclusive photos and video, a speed-form model and a Ram truck cover developed by the vehicle’s design team.”
As one of the 702 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Editions, the truck features an Anvil Gray exterior with bodyside graphics and 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels wrapped in 35-inch Goodyear tires. The pickup also sports a unique center console badge, carbon fiber trim, a panoramic sunroof and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. Other highlights include heated and ventilated leather seats as well as a wireless smartphone charger.
Of course, the big draw is the truck’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 702 hp (523 kW / 712 PS) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which sends power to a four-wheel drive system. This setup enables the TRX to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and run the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph (174 km/h).
The Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition sold out in less than three hours and Ram CEO Mike Koval Jr. noted “It instantly became an incredibly exciting one-of-a-kind collectible truck that enthusiasts will clamor for – especially when it goes through the Barrett-Jackson auction lane in March.”
