Last year, DS Automobiles unveiled the DS 7 Crossback Louvre Edition, in a bid to pay homage to the world’s most visited and probably most famous museum.

If you live in the UK, you’ll have to spend upwards of £46,530 ($63,540) in order to land one of these special edition SUVs, and if you like a well-specified car, then you’re probably going to enjoy what you’re getting here for your money.

The DS 7 Crossback Louvre Edition is based on the high-spec Ultra Prestige trim and features gloss black surfaces on the outside, unique 20-inch alloy wheels, pyramid shaped stainless steel air vent controllers inside, Nappa leather on the console storage compartment, plus the camera controlled DS Active Scan suspension and the DS Connect Pilot with its level 2 autonomous driving features.

“The incredible opportunity to collaborate with the famous Louvre museum in Paris has resulted in the exceptional and exclusive DS 7 CROSSBACK LOUVRE. DS Automobiles’ relationship with this world renowned museum stretches back more than half a decade, our shared passion for art and culture making this a strong and unique synergy,” said DS Automobiles UK exec Jules Tilstone.

“With nearly 200 artworks to explore on its 12-inch infotainment screen and a host of visual upgrades and premium French luxury details, the limited edition DS 7 CROSSBACK LOUVRE is a fitting celebration of the shared avant-garde spirit and rich heritage of these Parisian brands.”

The French crossover, available in Ink Blue, Perla Nera Black and Platinum Grey, is powered by a 1.6-liter PureTech 225 gasoline unit, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Total output is 225 PS (222 HP).

Buying a DS 7 Crossback Louvre Edition also means receiving a “Friends of the Louvre” card which guarantees you unlimited admission to the actual museum for one whole year.
