Joining the likes of the e-Expert van, the Peugeot e-Partner has been officially unveiled for Europe.
The French company’s new electric light commercial vehicle (LCV) is based on the EMP2 modular platform and uses an electric motor with 136 PS (134 HP / 100 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque that’s powered by a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery.
Peugeot claims the electric LCV can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 11.2 seconds, reach a 129 km/h (80 mph) top speed, and that it has a driving range of up to 275 km (171 miles) on the WLTP cycle. The battery can be fully charged in 5 hours at an 11 kW wallbox, or in 30 minutes to 80 percent at a 100 kW station. The model is available with two types of on-board chargers, a 7.4 kW single-phase and an optional 11 kW three-phase.

Drivers can select between three modes named the Eco, Normal and Power, with maximum output and torque achieved in the latter. The Eco has 82 PS (80 HP / 60 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft), and the Normal provides 109 PS (107 HP / 80 kW) and 210 Nm (155 lb-ft). Two braking modes, the Moderate and Augmented, are also available, with the latter maximizing braking energy recuperation.
With a maximum load capacity of up to 4.4 cu-m (155.4 cu-ft), a payload of up to 800 kg (1,764 lbs) and a maximum towing capacity of 750 kg (1,653 lbs), the e-Partner is offered in two wheelbase versions, the 4.4-meter (173.2 in) Standard and 4.75-m (187 in) Long. It is available in Professional and Asphalt trim levels, with the former also getting a crew van version with seating for five.
It features a specially adapted i-Cockpit, e-Toggle control that allows drivers to switch between Park, Reverse, Neutral and Drive, and separate switch for the three driving modes. It also comes with sat-nav with real-time traffic alerts, thermal pre-conditioning via the touchscreen display or the dedicated smartphone app, and enhanced pedestrian safety, with an audible signal deployed at speeds of up to 29 km/h (18 mph).
Peugeot will launch the e-Partner in Europe later this year, with the UK getting it from November.
