Roush has introduced the 2021 Stage 3 Mustang, which is being billed as their “most powerful version ever.”

Looking undeniably aggressive, the muscle car has been equipped with an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front splitter and wheel shrouds. The model also sports a ventilated hood, front fender vents and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system.

The changes don’t stop there as the Mustang rides on 20-inch Flowform wheels that are wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact tires. Customers can also order an optional active exhaust system, which enables them to control the tone and volume of the exhaust via an iOS app or a console-mounted dial with Touring, Sport, Track and Custom modes.

Moving into the cabin, drivers will find premium leather seats, illuminated door sill plates and auxiliary gauges. Other highlights include a serialized badge and a custom shift knob or paddle shifters.

Power comes from a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that produces 750 hp (559 kW / 760 PS) and 670 lb-ft (908 Nm) of torque. It can be paired to either a six-speed manual or a ten-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of performance, the Mustang can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.6 seconds and run the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds. If that’s not fast enough, an optional power upgrade increases the engine’s output to 775 hp (578 kW / 786 PS).

Sticking with the performance theme, the Stage 3 Mustang features a Roush-calibrated MagneRide suspension that is said to allow for precision handling without compromising daily driving comfort. The model also has a powertrain cooling package which consists of a larger radiator as well as auxiliary coolers for the transmission and rear differential. Speaking of the latter, there’s a trackside cooling function which runs the fan and intercooler pump after the car is turned off.

Customers looking to push their Mustang to the limit can order the podium package, which adds an active aerodynamic carbon fiber wing that produces up to 2.5 times more downforce than the standard rear spoiler. The package also includes a Brembo front braking system, an active exhaust, locking lug nuts, a car cover and an engine bay styling package.

The Roush Stage 3 Mustang is currently available for preorder and pricing starts at $24,995 – excluding the base vehicle. That’s not exactly cheap, but the model comes with a 3 year / 36,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 5 year / 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.
