The Porsche Taycan lineup expanded earlier today as the company introduced the all-new Taycan Cross Turismo.
However, the lineup could grow even further as Taycan product chief Stefan Weckbach has revealed additional variants are under consideration.
Speaking to Autocar, Weckbach said the company is considering a less off-road focused version of the Cross Turismo. It would be more wagon-like and eschew things like plastic body cladding, Gravel mode and an increased ride height. In essence, it would be the Taycan equivalent of the Panamera Sport Turismo.

Coupe and convertible variants are also possible, but Weckbach suggested the company would have to look into demand before moving forward. That doesn’t sound too promising, but he noted the Taycan’s platform is “perfect for future additional product ideas and we are thinking in different directions.”
While it appears nothing has been decided, any future variants would likely be offered with an assortment of powertrains. In the case of the Cross Turismo, that means an entry-level 4 variant that produces up to 469 hp (350 kW / 476 PS) and can travel between 389 – 456 km (242 – 283 miles) in the WLTP cycle. Slotting above is a 4S variant with up to 563 hp (420 kW / 571 PS) and a range of up to 452 km (281 miles).
Likewise, the Turbo develops up to 671 hp (500 kW / 680 PS) and can travel up to 452 km (281 miles) on a single charge. The star of the show is the new Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo which boasts 750 hp (560 kW / 761 PS), a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of 2.9 seconds and a range of up to 419 km (260 miles).
