Last year, Scuderia Ferrari had one of its worst years ever in Formula 1 and is hopeful that its new car, dubbed the SF21, will reverse its fortunes.
The car, unveiled just a few days before pre-season testing begins, sports a new livery that sees the rear end of the racer adorned in a dark shade of burgundy while the rest of the bodywork is painted in a more vibrant shade of matte red. The Mission Winnow logo is also finished in bright green.

Ferrari has revised the aerodynamics of its F1 car, using its available development tokens to alter the rear end, including the gearbox and suspension system. The Italian squad has also developed a new front wing and a new concept nose.
Significant developments have also been made to the 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 powertrain.
“Along with our colleagues on the chassis side, we worked a lot on the layout of the power unit, to make the overall design of the car as efficient as possible,” power unit director Enrico Gualtieri said. “With the internal combustion engine, we focused on increasing its level of thermal efficiency, in conjunction with our partner Shell, and this has produced an improvement in lap time that we estimate at over one-tenth of a second.”
The Ferrari SF21 will make its track debut in Bahrain on Thursday for a filming day where it can complete up to 100 km (62 miles) of running. Racing for the team this year will be Charles Leclerc and new teammate Carlos Sainz Jr.
