For a brief moment, it looked like everything might have gone crazy in Luton, UK. The truth is much more mundane.

The video, shared on Twitter, showed a BMW in a police livery trying to do donuts in front of Luton Town Hall. Better still, the car had a passenger in it mooning from the back window.

But the Luton Town Council has stepped in to confirm that the video was not legitimate but staged. In what is probably good news for the residence of Luton, the video was actually shot on the set of a TV show that had permission to use the area for filming.

The town made the announcement in a post on its Facebook page, saying that area police were not involved in the incident. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been made public which TV show this was being filmed for.

Many have pointed out that the donuts attempted in the video were not performed especially well. Although we don’t want to cast aspersions on the stunt driver, if you would like to succeed at your donuts next time you’re being filmed, here’s a video from Team O’Neil Rally School that teaches you how to properly do a donut.
