For those who think that the Chevrolet Blazer is a little tepid in comparison to the other SUVs like the Bronco, Lingenfelter is here to make you reconsider.

Although the Blazer makes 308 hp from the factory thanks to a 3.6-liter V6, which is perfectly, dully adequate, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that a supercharger would make things a little more exciting.

Offered with an Edelbrock TVS R1740 supercharger Lingenfelter will add a high-efficiency intercooler, as well as a 1.75-gallon aluminum reservoir tank, the whole system should be able to pump the power up to around 450 hp at the crank.

Better still, the blower kit is 50-state legal thanks to its being based on an OEM Eaton supercharger unit, per GM Authority. With professional installation, testing, and calibration, the power should come on nicely. It will also come with a warranty and a certificate of authenticity.

Although Lingenfelter will put your Blazer on a chassis dyno before and after your upgrades, exactly how much power it will make at the wheels isn’t quite clear yet, but Lingenfelter says you should expect more than 100 extra horses at the wheels.

“In a car of that size, 100 horsepower makes a huge difference,” a Lingenfelter spokesperson recently told GM Authority.

If you don’t understand the appeal of a supercharged Blazer, you might be in the minority, surprisingly. The kit was initially developed for the Colorado pickup, which uses the same engine but Lingenfelter got asked if they would put it in the Blazer so many times that they decided to do it in 2019.

The kit is expected to fully roll out in April.
