Jeep has introduced a new variant of the 2021 Cherokee dubbed the Freedom Edition.
The Freedom Edition is based on the Jeep Cherokee Latitude and is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 guises. A handful of distinctive features ensures the SUV stands out from lesser versions.
One of the more obvious alterations is the inclusion of a military star decal on the hood, American flags on the front doors, gloss black roof rails, black badging, bespoke 18×7.0-inch matte black aluminum wheels wrapped in 225/60 BSW Touring tires, and a matte black grille surround.
Five exterior colors are available: Diamond Black, Slate Blue, Olive Green, Sting-Gray, and Bright White, although the first three are each a $245 option.

A handful of interior tweaks have been made, most notably the fitment of black cloth seats with Oscar Mike embroidered seat logos, liquid titanium accent stitching, and liquid titanium door trim accents. Customers can spec out their Cherokee Freedom Edition models with the $265 Mopar Interior Package that consists of a cargo-area liner and Mopar slush mats.
As the Freedom Edition is based on the Jeep Cherokee Latitude, it is powered by a 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir four-cylinder that pumps out 180 hp and 171 lb-ft (234 Nm) of torque.
Prices for the Freedom Edition start at $27,705 in 4×2 guise and jump to $29,205 in 4×4 trim. The SUV is currently available in Jeep’s online configuration tool.
