Almost everyone who has driven the Ford Puma ST has deemed it as the best bang for the buck, but how fast is it?
Ford claims that the 2021 Puma ST does 220 km/h (137 mph) flat-out and will complete the 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) run in 6.7 seconds. That makes it two tenths of a second slower than its platform- and engine-sharing sibling, the Fiesta ST.

Like the Fiesta, the Blue Oval’s small sporty crossover is front-wheel drive and comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This engine develops 200 PS (197 HP / 147 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque between 2,500 and 3,500 rpm.
At €31,900 or $37,962 at today’s exchange rates in Germany, the 2021 Puma ST isn’t a bargain, but it has the right premises to become a favorite in the segment. Meanwhile, the regular 2021 Puma has a recommended starting price of €20,500 (equal to $24,396).
Now, the Puma ST is no hot hatchback, but on paper, it has all it takes to put on a solid performance. So, does it? Watch the video below and find out.
