With the ability to sprint off the line and hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in under 3 seconds, the C8 Corvette Stingray is a serious performance car. Despite this, the owner of a C8 has comprehensively modified her car and made it much quicker than stock.
Featured in a video from Hoonigan, this Corvette is rocking a fully-built LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine from Texas Speed that sports a pair of Precision 62/66 ball-bearing turbochargers. There’s also a piggyback ECU and a new fuel injection kit that combines methanol with pump gas. Just how much power does it make? Well, during a recent dyno run, it pumped out an impressive 1,022 hp and 942 lb-ft (1,277 Nm) of torque.

Eager to see how the car performs, its owner, YouTube vlogger Emelia Hartford, lined up against a Porsche Taycan Turbo for a series of drag races.
The first of the three races is held over 1,000 feet and, as you’d imagine, it is the Porsche that gets the jump off the line and sprints out to an early lead. However, as the speeds start to increase, the Corvette begins to close in on the Taycan, but isn’t able to overtake it before the finish line.
The second race is held over 1,500 feet, although the Porsche is given a jump off the line to help its chances. Once again, the Corvette begins to close in and this time, does overtake the Taycan and claims the victory. The third and final race is again held over 1,000 feet and is the best of the three.
