As Porsche gears up to begin customer deliveries of the new 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3, it recently built a stunning example painted in Signal Yellow.
Images of this car were recently shared online by the head of Porsche’s GT division Andreas Preuninger. The car is most likely either a pre-production prototype or a press car that will soon be handed over to select journalists in Europe.

Signal Yellow isn’t one of the standard colors available for the new 911 GT3 and has to be ordered through the Paint-To-Sample program. Helping to offset the bright color is a gloss carbon fiber roof as well as matte black accents across the front and rear bumpers, engine cover, rear wing uprights and endplates, and the side skirts. It is also sitting on a set of dark silver wheels.
As you may already know, the new 911 GT3 is powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six with 502 hp and 346 lb-ft (469 Nm) of torque. This engine revs all the way to 9,000 rpm and as standard, is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the rear wheels but customers will be able to option a six-speed manual.
It’s not just the new engine that makes the GT3 special. Porsche spent a considerable amount of time altering the aerodynamics of the sports car, so much so that its aero kit produces up to 50 per cent more downforce than the model it replaces.
