Alpina took to its social media channels to drop the first official teaser video of the B8 Gran Coupe.
Set to debut tomorrow, March 24, at 7:00 p.m. CET (2 p.m. ET), the elegant super sedan will set itself apart from the BMW M850i on which it builds upon, thanks to a bespoke body kit, with new front and rear bumpers.

It will also feature an aggressive diffuser at the back, four exhaust pipes and the manufacturer’s signature multi-spoke alloy wheels, adorned by their logo, which will also sit on the C pillars. The ‘B8’ badge will decorate the trunk lid.
The Alpina-branded side sills will greet users upon opening the door, and their signature will also be visible on other parts of the interior, such as the steering wheel. A special plaque will bedeck the center console, next to the gearshift selector and rotary dial for the infotainment system.
Power will come from an upgraded version of the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 found in the standard M850i GC. And while this is a fact, we still don’t know how much exactly it will pump out. It’s been reported that the engine might generate around 600 HP, which, if true, would make it approximately 70 HP more powerful than the stock Bimmer. An upgraded xDrive all-wheel drive system paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the beefier brakes and a re-tuned suspension will round out the project.
