Kia EV6 Configurator Shows Off The Model’s Three Trim Levels And Color Palette

The Kia EV6 is shaping up to be a hit and the company has launched a basic configurator, which gives us a better look at the model and its three trim levels.

As you can see, the entry-level EV6 has a crossover-inspired design with black body cladding. The GT and GT-Line have a sportier appearance as they adopt unique bumpers and additional body color components. The range-topping EV6 GT goes even further as it’s distinguished by stylish wheels that are backed up by a braking system with green calipers.

While options will vary by market, the configurator suggests the EV6 will be available in 11 colors.  Unfortunately, it appears the GT and GT-Line will have a more limited color palette that includes red, white, silver, black and blue.

The interior isn’t customizable, but it provides a 360° view of the cabin and shows the various trim levels will be distinguished by unique upholstery and slightly different dashboard toppers. The range-topping model also boasts heavily bolstered sport seats with green accents and GT badging.

While we can expect to learn more closer to launch, the EV6 will be offered with rear- and all-wheel drive as well as standard and long range batteries. At the low end, there’s a 58 kWh battery and a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. Customers will also be able to order an all-wheel drive system, which adds a second electric motor and gives the model a combined output of 232 hp (173 kW / 235 PS) and 446 lb-ft (605 Nm) of torque.

Upgrading to the 77.4 kWh battery rewards buyers with longer ranges as well as a more powerful electric motor that develops 225 hp (168 kW / 228 PS) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. With all-wheel drive, the output climbs to 321 hp (239 kW / 325 PS) and 446 lb-ft (605 Nm) of torque.

Of course, the big news is the EV6 GT. It features a long range battery and a dual motor all-wheel drive system that produces 577 hp (430 kW / 585 PS) and 546 lb-ft (740 Nm) of torque. This enables the model to accelerate from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds and travel approximately 252 miles (405 km) on a single charge in the WLTP cycle.
