The C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray hasn’t been available in the Middle East for very long and already, one example has been destroyed in a wreck in Dubai.

No details about the crash are known and just a single video of the wrecked car has been shared to social media. It’s immediately obvious that the ‘Vette was involved in a very serious crash and will never return to the road, hence why it’s currently sitting in a junkyard.

The Corvette, which is painted in a shade of blue, appears to have rolled, as evidenced by the crushed roof and the missing windshield and A-pillars. Evidently, the rear end of the mid-engined sports car made contact with something as it too has been badly damaged and is missing various components like the bumper and taillights. We can also see that one of the rear wheels has been bent out of place, indicating some serious suspension damage.

Considering how bad the damage is across the rest of the Corvette, the front fascia appears to have gone relatively untouched, although it is covered in a thin layer of sand.

The 2020 Corvette Stingray started to land in dealerships across the Middle East in October last year. Local models are available in the same 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT trim levels as those sold throughout North America and Middle Eastern buyers can also opt for the Z51 Performance Package. While sold as a 2020MY, local models are offered with the same color palette as the 2021MY in North America, meaning the new colors of Red Mist Tintcoat and Silver Flare replace Long Beach Red and Blade Silver.
