Audi has released new teasers of the Q4 E-Tron and Q4 E-Tron Sportback, ahead of their debut on April 14th.
As you can see, the standard model will have a conservative design with a rakish windscreen that flows into a gently sloping roof. The sportback has a more dynamic appearance as it adopts a sleeker roof and more compact greenhouse.
Both models were previewed by concepts and will ride on the MEB platform. Audi has been tight-lipped on performance specifications, but last year’s Sportback concept had an 82 kWh lithium-ion battery which powered two electric motors that produced a combined output of 302 hp (225 kW / 306 PS). This enabled the crossover to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 6.3 seconds, hit a top speed of 112 mph (180 km/h) and travel more than 280 miles (450 km) in the WLTP cycle. At the time, the automaker also mentioned a rear-wheel drive variant with a range in excess of 311 miles (500 km).

While the production powertrain remains a bit of a mystery, Audi revealed the interior last month. It features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1- or 11.6-inch infotainment system with natural-language voice control. Other highlights include an augmented reality head-up display, wood or aluminum trim, and theater-style seating with the second-row positioned almost 2.8 inches (70 mm) higher than the front.
The Q4 E-Tron also promises to be spacious as it will have a 108.7 inch (2760 mm) wheelbase, which is slightly less than the Q5. Speaking of space, the boot will hold 18.4 cubic feet (520 liters) of luggage and that can be expanded to 52.6 cubic feet (1,490 liters) by folding the rear seats down.
Progress continues at the world premiere of the new Audi Q4 e-tron models. Save the date April 14, 7 PM CEST.
