Mercedes-Benz has yet to reveal the production-ready EQS and already, a handful of journalists and YouTubers have had the opportunity to put the car through its paces.
This particular video comes from YouTuber Mr. Benz and features a pre-production prototype with a light camouflage finish across its exterior. However, the interior is free of any camouflage or cladding so this video provides us with our first look at the all-electric sedan’s massive Hyperscreen that dominates the dashboard.

As you may already know, the dashboard is made up of a 56-inch curved screen that encompasses the gauge cluster, infotainment system, and a passenger display. While we will reserve judgment on this screen until we see it in the flesh with our own eyes, it certainly looks quite impressive in this video review.
At least two variants of the EQS will be available. Sitting at the bottom of the range, at least initially, will be the EQS 450+. This model features an electric motor driving the rear wheels and produces 329 hp and 419 lb-ft (568 Nm) of torque. Those after more power will also be able to purchase the EQS in 580 4MATIC+ guise that utilizes two electric motors to pump out a combined 516 hp and 630 lb-ft (855 Nm) of torque. AMG variants are expected in the future.
Two battery packs will be available. The entry-level unit will have 90 kWh of capacity while the flagship battery will be rated at 107.8 kWh, allowing the EQS to travel up to 478 miles (770 km) on a single charge.
