Popular sim racing company Thrustmaster is no stranger to making replica wheels for gaming, but their newest creation is quite possibly their best one yet: a fully-functional, 1:1 scale replica of the Ferrari SF1000 F1 car’s steering wheel.
The standout feature of this wheel is its 4.3″ / 109 mm interactive screen that can display up to 69 different pieces of information and can be customized based on the game being played or car being used. It will work with both current and next-gen consoles as well as PCs, and will be able to be used with the upcoming F1 2021 game, among others. Above the screen is a row of 21 LEDs, 16 of which are for the shift lights and the other 5 for marshal flags.

Practically everything you see on the wheel’s carbon fiber face is completely functional, which means all of its 11 buttons and 7 encoders (including 2 thumbwheels) can be assigned to perform a function. On the back, there are aluminum magnetic paddle shifters, which can be interchanged with an optional set of push-pull ones, as well as two hand clutches.

The Formula Wheel Add-On Ferrari SF1000 Edition will be compatible with every Thrustmaster wheel base that offers interchangeability via their quick release system, which includes the TS-PC Racer, T-GT, TS-XW, TX, and T300, but not the T500RS.
This type of detail is unheard of from wheels at this price point, and it’s a massive step up from the last F1 wheel Thrustmaster made. That being said, it’s still rather expensive at £329.99 ($349.99 / €349.99). As of right now, the wheel is only on sale in Europe and limited to 1,000 units, but the rest of the world will be able to get their hands on one starting August 26.
