If you start to tick a few option boxes for the 2021 Escalade, the big Caddy can get very expensive very quickly. This doesn’t seem to dissuade buyers, as a new research has found that the average Escalade is selling for over $100,000.
The 2021 Escalade starts at $77,490 in the U.S. including destination while the larger ESV version is available from $80,890. However, research from Kelley Blue Book has revealed that in the first quarter of 2021, the average transaction price of a new Escalade was a staggering $102,183.
What’s particularly impressive about this figure is that Cadillac didn’t simply shift a few hundred units during the first three months of the year. In fact, it sold 9,842 Escalades in the first quarter, making it the best-selling vehicle over $100,000.

Among the options available for the 2021 Escalade are the $2,795 Performance Upgrade Package that adds a performance air intake and a catback exhaust, the $1,095 Illumination Package, $795 Cargo Convenience Package, various different wheel options, and a dizzying array of accessories including Bluetooth headphones, dash cams, and even a $1,499 Horizon rooftop tent.
Kelley Blue Book’s figures do not break down which options for the Escalade are the most popular, but they are not the sole reason for the model’s high average price: while the standard Escalade starts from a touch under $80,000, the high-end Premium Luxury Platinum and Sport Platinum models both start at $102,290, regardless of whether they have the flagship 6.2-liter V8 or the 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel.
