Bugatti has strengthened its ties with the Middle East by organizing a special event in Saudi Arabia, putting the spotlight on the Chiron Sport ‘Les Legendes du Ciel’ and Chiron Pur Sport.

The limited edition hypercar, which pays homage to famous French racing drivers from the 20th century, was presented to a select few at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Jeddah.

Private viewings continued in Riyadh, with Bugatti’s official test pilot and Le Mans winner, Andy Wallace, talking potential customers through the characteristics of the models. Wallace then demonstrated his experience in the drive test event in Saudi Arabia’s spectacular landscape, during which attendees had the chance to jump behind the wheel of the Chiron Pur Sport.

“We know that the Middle East region thrives on luxury, and so it is important for potential customers to have access to the latest Bugatti models”, said the brand’s Regional Director for Middle East and Asia, Kostas Psarris. “We are delighted to present the ‘Les Legendes du Ciel’ edition of the Chiron Sport to the Middle East region starting from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the same time, we were able to give our very select group of customers the unique and exclusive experience of driving the Chiron Pur Sport with our legendary world-record breaker pilot Andy Wallace for the first time on Saudi roads.”

Limited to 20 units, each one with a starting price of €2.88 million (equal to $3.46 million), excluding tax, the Chiron Sport ‘Les Legendes du Ciel’ (Legends of the Sky/Heaven) has exclusive updates inside and out, such as the exclusive entry sills and logos, and a racing scene between a Bugatti and an aircraft from 1916, hand-sketched in the cockpit.

The model is powered by the 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine that produces 1,500 PS (1,479 HP / 1,103 kW) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque.

Priced at €3 million ($3.6 million) excluding tax, the Chiron Pur Sport is limited to 60 units and uses the same engine, albeit with a few upgrades over the regular Chiron. The shorter gear ratios, stiffer suspension, beefier brakes and special wheels are part of the makeover.
