While regulations are forcing car manufacturers to make their vehicles quieter than ever before, there remains heaps of companies operating in the aftermarket offering exhaust systems for pretty much every car in existence. Some aftermarket exhausts can sound terrible while some sound fantastic. The exhaust of this Ferrari 812 Superfast fits in that second category.
This particular 812 resides in the U.S. and was recently fitted with an X-pipe exhaust system from Fabspeed. Included with the exhaust are sport cats that also play a key role in freeing up the airflow, creating the kind of addictive roar that you can only ever expect from a naturally-aspirated Ferrari V12.

While it’s hard to say for certain based solely on this video, it also seems as though the sound of the exhaust isn’t overbearing at low revs, meaning you could cruise in this 812 at highway speeds without getting a splitting headache.
The Ferrari 812 family will soon grow with the launch of a limited-edition variant set to be unveiled in full on May 5. Ferrari has confirmed that this variant is the most powerful naturally-aspirated car it has ever created, revealing the screaming V12 pumps out 818 hp and revs through to 9,500 rpm, also making it the highest-revving road-legal Ferrari ever made.
To boost power from the engine, the Italian car manufacturer redesigned many internal components and also fitted a new valve timing mechanism. The limited-edition 812 will also feature a new exhaust system, although it remains to be seen if it will sound as good as this Fabspeed system.
