Borla has unveiled two exhaust systems for the Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray that improve its soundtrack.
As standard, we think the 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 of the C8 Corvette sounds superb. However, a number of owners loves to modify their cars and one of the most popular mods you can make is fitting an aftermarket exhaust system. Borla’s two systems take the V8’s sound to new heights.
The first exhaust system developed by the exhaust manufacturer is the S-Type that adds some extra oomph to the C8’s roaring V8. The second exhaust from Borla, dubbed the Atak, takes things to the next level and not only amplifies the sound but also adds in some welcome cracks and pops. Borla proudly claims that neither creates any drone, which makes them perfect for highway cruising and long journeys.

Much of this video features David Borla speaking about the exhaust system and all the work that went into its creation. The C8’s standard exhaust comes with adjustable valves and offers different sound profiles. Borla has retained this adjustability by creating its own valve system which means the exhaust note can be tweaked from inside the cabin.
The new exhausts will be available with a number of tips, including carbon fiber, black chrome, as well as a traditional chrome option. The aftermarket specialist has yet to reveal when the exhaust systems will be available or how much they will cost.
