The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and Demon models are among the most insane muscle cars launched in recent memory and given the popularity of them, it’s little surprise that Dodge decided to launch the Super Stock variant in the second half of 2020.
The Super Stoke is based on the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody and comes with a host of upgrades. For example, is features adaptive-damping sport suspension, revised gearing, Brembo brakes, 18-inch wheels with Nitto drag radial tires, and a bespoke tune for the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that gives the muscle car 807 hp and 707 lb-ft (959 Nm) of torque.

These upgrades allow the potent Challenger to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in a mere 3.25 seconds while it can run down the quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds at 131 mph (211 km/h). Those are some seriously impressive figures but they clearly didn’t stop Hennessey Performance from having its way with the car.
The Texas tuner recently released its HPE1000 upgrade package for the car and in this video, shows it being put to the test. The company’s official claim is that its upgrades mean the Hellcat engine now pumps out 1,012 hp and 969 lb-ft (1,314 Nm) of torque. During a dyno run, the car delivered an impressive 810 hp and 732 lb-ft (992 Nm) through the rear wheels, significant gains of 110 hp and 84 lb-ft (114 Nm) over a standard Super Stock.
Not only is this Challenger extremely quick but it also delivers an extraordinary amount of noise that is bound to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
