As if there weren’t enough 2021 T7 Multivan teasers out there, Volkswagen has released one more, which provides another glimpse inside, highlighting the table found in the rear passenger compartment.
So, what’s so special about such a thing that has been included in all Multivans for nearly four decades? Well, this one has become highly practical, as it can be easily moved from the back to the front thanks to the new track system.

As a result, it can be used in different ways, including as a center console between the front seats. It has three cup holders and a storage bin in the top part, and can be raised by pushing a large button to access additional storage compartments. The two halves of the table can be pulled out as well. And since it can be easily repositioned inside, it will not affect ingress and egress.
“Flexibility, usable flexibility. We have an absolutely flat floor from the first row of seats to the third row. Just imagine, we have a multifunctional device that you can use anywhere inside the vehicle. Pure flexibility with a great USP. That’s the new Multivan”, said the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles chief designer, Albert Kirzinger.
Volkswagen says the headroom of the people carrier is equal to that of its predecessor. However, it now boasts a panoramic sunroof for the first time that will be detailed in a future teaser, which is probably days away, considering that the 2021 T7 Multivan that’s based on the same platform as the Golf Mk8 will be shown in mid-June.
