The Volkswagen ID.4 lineup has grown to include the new base Pure and Pure Performance battery and motor options in the United Kingdom, which are available in the City and Style trim levels.

The City and Style Pure use a 52 kWh battery that powers a 148 PS (146 HP / 109 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque electric motor. They need 10.9 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) and will top out at 160 km/h (99 mph). The WLTP range is rated at 343 km (213 miles) and 340 km (211 miles) respectively.

The City Pure Performance and Style Pure Performance are a bit punchier, with 170 PS (168 HP / 125 kW) and 310 Nm (229 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration takes 9.0 seconds in this case, and top speed is identical at 160 km/h (99 mph). The lesser model can travel for 343 km (213 miles) on a full charge, and the upper spec for 340 km (211 miles).

Pricing for the ID.4 City Pure starts at £34,650 ($48,862) and drops to £32,150 ($45,337) with the government grant. It features standard LED headlights and taillights, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, multi-color ambient lighting and 10-inch infotainment system. The Front Assist, Lane Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control are included, alongside the traffic sign recognition.

The ID.4 City Style Pure comes from £38,150 ($53,798) and adds 18-inch wheels, matrix LED headlights with front light strip, 3D LED taillights, illuminated door handles and tinted rear windows, as well as keyless entry and go, three-zone climate control, reversing camera part of the Assistance Package and luggage net for the load area.

The City Pure Performance and Style Pure Performance variants are available from £36,030 ($50,808) and £39,530 ($55,744) respectively.
