Manhart has completed the development of its tuning package for the 2021 Volkswagen Golf GTI. The front-wheel drive hot hatch features a visual makeover inside and out, new wheels and a power boost.
By applying their MHtronik module, which was developed in-house, they have increased the output and torque of the 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder engine to 290 PS (286 HP / 213 kW) and 425 Nm (313 lb-ft) of torque.

The extra 45 PS (44 HP / 33 kW) and 55 Nm (41 lb-ft) over the stock Golf GTI has presumably shaved a few tenths of a second from the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time of the standard car. Manhart didn’t release performance figures, but the stock model needs a little over 6 seconds to get there and has a 250 km/h (155 mph) top speed.
Manhart has installed a new four-fin diffuser at the rear and 8×19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 225/35 tires, as well as H&R springs that have lowered the ride height dy by 40 mm (1.6 in).
The most uncommon upgrade is found inside, and it’s the headliner which boasts numerous small LEDs for a starry-sky effect that brings to mind the one in Rolls-Royces.
Finally, upon request, the tuner will tweak other aspects of the 2021 Golf GTI, such as the exhaust system and brakes.
