Porsche is readying a facelift for the Cayenne and has confirmed that it will also launch a new variant of the Cayenne Coupe.
The current Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid with its 671 hp is the king of the Cayenne family. However, the facelifted model will benefit from a host of modifications to the Turbo’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that result in 631 hp and 626 lb-ft (850 Nm), significant gains of 89 hp and 60 lb-ft (80 Nm) over the current variant – and that’s without any form of electrification. It may have less power than the E-Hybrid, but it will be faster.
In fact, Auto Express claims that the upgrades will allow the new Cayenne Coupe Turbo to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.4 seconds while continuing through to a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).

A handful of changes have been made to boost the performance of the SUV. For example, it has been equipped with a titanium exhaust system (as shown in the photo below) and new engine management software. Porsche has also tweaked the eight-speed transmission and four-wheel drive system, making it more rear-biased.
Porsche has also improved the way the Cayenne Coupe handles. For example, the three-chamber air suspension is 15 per cent stiffer and drops the ride height by 7 mm compared to the GTS. Alterations have also been made to the dynamic chassis control, torque vectoring, and rear-axle steering systems. Its 22-inch wheels are also wrapped in bespoke Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Other upgrades include the fitment of a carbon fiber roof and carbon ceramic brakes. It has also been confirmed the model will be offered exclusively as a four-seater.
Porsche is expected to unveil the new, more powerful variant of the Cayenne Turbo, which will be available only in Coupe guise, later this year.
