Ford Mustangs have a tendency to crash and adding two of them into the equation is just asking for trouble.
However, that didn’t stop a crowd of people from cheering on a fourth- and six-generation Mustang involved in a street race.
While little is known about the incident, it starts off reasonably well as the pony cars race down the street and leave a trail of tire smoke in their wake. That doesn’t last for long as the driver of the newer Mustang loses control approximately four seconds into the clip.

The crowd partially blocks the view, but the car veers right as the driver slams onto the brakes. Since speeding cars don’t stop on a dime, the Mustang slams into a power pole which sends it into a spin.
Following the impact, the transformer sends sparks flying and the pole leans to its side. Thankfully, the power lines held as the incident could have had a tragic outcome if they fell into the crowd.
The video ends shortly thereafter, but the driver of the Mustang emerges from the wreck and appears to be okay. That’s a good thing, but we doubt people who lost power because of the incident were impressed.
Speaking of the latter, one Redditor said they work for LifeLine and the building seen in the video “lost power/internet for hours after this.” The company reportedly had a backup plan, but the poster noted “this didn’t make things easier for us.”
