Manhart’s MH3 600 Is A BMW M3 Competition With A Lick Of Gold And 626 HP

Manhart has officially presented its BMW M3 Competition-based MH3 600, a few months after previewing the model through a series of renderings.

The tuning company starts out work on the M3 Competition by fitting a powerbox that boosts the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder up to 626 hp and 575 lb-ft (780 Nm) of torque.

Manhart hasn’t quoted a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time but does say that its MH3 can hit 124 mph (200 km/h) in less than 10.5 seconds and reach 155 mph (250 km/h) in under 17 seconds, making it four seconds quicker than a standard M3 Competition. Moreover, the tuned sports sedan needs just 6.42 seconds to go from 62 mph to 124 mph.

In addition to tweaking the engine software, Manhart has installed a new exhaust that sports a stainless steel rear silencer with a valve control function and four 100 mm tailpipes that can be finished in carbon fiber or ceramic coated. Customers can also purchase race-inspired downpipes without catalytic converters or with 200-cell catalytic converters. Manhart can also remove the standard OPF/GPF filters found within the stock exhaust.

Various other changes have been made. For example, a set of H&R springs can be fitted to lower the ride height at the front axle by 30 mm and the rear axle by 10 mm, while customers can also option a set of KW four-way adjustable coilovers. Various braking upgrades will be offered.

Making the M3 Competition tuned by Manhart stand out on the road are 21-inch wheels wrapped in 255/30 and 295/25 tires. Various carbon fiber accessories also adorn the exterior, including a front splitter, rear spoiler, side skirts, and aero flicks from the M Performance range. Finally, Manhart also offers a host of carbon fiber trimmings throughout the interior.
