A McLaren 720S owned by former NFL player Thomas Davis Sr. has been left badly damaged after being stolen from his house.
The theft happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Authorities believe that the two suspects caught on security cameras at the residence rummaged through several unlocked vehicles in the driveway before accessing the garage where the McLaren was parked.

Police responded to the scene at around 5:25 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Davis and his wife informed officers that a neighbor called them to tell them that the McLaren had been wrecked nearby. As the couple exited their house, they noticed that many of the vehicles in the driveway had open doors and trunks, WSOC-TV 9 reports.
After gaining access to the McLaren, the suspects drove away from the house and were traveling along Providence Road when the accident happened. Detectives believe the supercar may have been crashed into a getaway vehicle also being used in the theft.
Images posted to social media by Thomas Davis Sr. show that his 720S has a bright green wrap and sits on a set of gloss black Forgiato wheels. The driver’s side door and rear quarter panel have been damaged and have what appear to be tire marks on them. One of the rear wheels has also been knocked off, indicating some serious suspension damage.
The retired football player says he is offering a cash reward to anyone who can help identify the thieves.
“If any of you recognize either one of these idiots that decided it was good idea to come into my home and go through all of my cars and even steal and wreck my McLaren,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m offering a cash reward for anyone that can help identify who these guys are!”
