The long-awaited 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser will be unveiled today and you can watch the live stream in the video below on 1:30 PM EST / 5:30 PM GMT.
Toyota has been developing the new-generation Land Cruiser for a long time and despite its attempts to keep the SUV a closely-guarded secret, images and details about it have surfaced in recent months.
The new Land Cruiser retains the same identifiable shape as the decade-old J200-series model but does benefit from a plethora of noteworthy modifications. For example, the front end has been thoroughly revised and includes a new grille and intakes that connect to overhauled headlights. Other key exterior modifications include the fitment of re-shaped wheel arches that are more squared than the current Land Cruiser. The rear end will also feature revised taillights.

The Japanese car manufacturer has also made significant alterations to the interior of the new Land Cruiser. For example, the off-roader will launch with an enlarged infotainment system that sits above a new center stack with revised infotainment and climate controls. Leaked images have also showcased 4 High and 4 Low modes for the transmission, as well as a host of off-road modes. The Land Cruiser will also include Qi wireless smartphone charging and a JBL audio system.
Few details about the powertrains are known, but some reports suggest a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 could be offered, as well as a hybrid variant of this engine. A 3.3-liter turbo-diesel V6 may also be available in select markets.
