Most BMW press photos for the new M4 show the car in very loud colors. And while that does help to draw attention to the car for marketing purposes, most people would likely opt for something more subdued for a personal vehicle. Enter this M4 Competition from BMW Abu Dhabi Motors.
The exterior is finished in an Individual Tanzanite Blue, a very deep navy that suits the car well (and helps hide the grille). A set of gold brake calipers behind dark silver wheels make for a nice point of contrast.

The car also comes with various M Performance parts, which include a carbon front splitter and canards, carbon fender vents and side skirt trims, and a carbon rear wing and bumper winglets. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the optional stacked center exhaust tips, but we can understand why some people might not like them, as they’re a polarizing addition to an already controversial design.

Where things really starts to get interesting, though, is on the interior. The lower dash, door cards, center console, and seats are all finished in bright Kyalami Orange leather. Speaking of the seats, they happen to be the optional upgraded bucket items and feature M-striped seatbelts and pulls along with a unique chevron-like pattern that runs down their centers.

Being a Competition model, this car has the same twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six as the regular M4, just uprated for more power. This engine makes 503 hp (510 PS / 375 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque, which is 30 hp and 73 lb-ft more than the standard M4. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) takes 3.8 seconds on the way to a top speed of up to 180 mph (290 km/h) with the optional M Driver’s Package.
