The Land Cruiser has always remained a gem in Toyota’s lineup. The utilitarian SUV is a do-anything machine that is all but guaranteed to soldier on for many years and hundreds of thousands of miles, so it comes as no surprise that pristine examples have been commanding high selling prices as of recent.

But at $136,000, was this 1994 Land Cruiser sold on Bring A Trailer really worth nearly fifty grand more than a brand new one? Depending on who you ask, that answer may vary, but there’s no denying what incredible shape this Land Cruiser is in. That’s mainly because, despite being 27 years old, it has just 1,005 miles (1,617 km) on its odometer.

The exterior is finished in Dark Emerald Pearl, and unsurprisingly, the paint is in perfect condition. It also features body-colored fender flares, grey bumper covers, a power sunroof, a receiver hitch, a rear spoiler, a luggage rack, sliding rear quarter windows, and a split tailgate. The SUV rides on its original 16-inch polished aluminum wheels, while the tires were replaced in October of last year.

Inside, there’s a sea of grey leather displaying virtually no signs of age complemented by wood-grain trim, a black dash, and dark grey lower door cards with carpet to match. Some of the interior options include air conditioning, a factory CD and cassette stereo, power windows, and a sunroof, and the seller also threw in a set of WeatherTech mats for the seating and cargo areas.

Under the hood is Toyota‘s 1FZ-FE 4.5-liter inline-six. Rated at 212 hp (215 PS / 158 kW) and 275 lb-ft (373 Nm) of torque, this engine sends its power to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, with a dual-range transfer case and front and rear locking differentials to aid in off-road driving. The fuel pump and filter were replaced in 2017, and the accessory drive belts and battery were swapped out last year.
