Let’s face it, adding the widebody option to your Dodge Challenger Hellcat isn’t going to turn it into a Lotus but it will make it handle -and look- a lot better.

What Dodge did is basically offer the bodykit of the Demon as an option to Hellcat customers; this includes fender flares that add 3.5 inches to the width of the body while the tracks are also wider by 1.6 inches at the front and by 2 inches at the rear.

The new Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody is also running on a square tire setup, meaning 305-section tires all around to provide more grip than the standard narrow-body Hellcat.

Power is still coming from the frankly monstrous supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 that pumps out 707hp and 650lb-ft of torque. A manual six-speed transmission is standard but customers can always go for the eight-speed automatic option.

Dodge claims that the widebody version of the Hellcat has been found to be much faster and suited for use around a track than the regular model but let’s see what Matt Farah thinks of it on the video linked below.
