Almost immediately after customer deliveries of the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray started, a handful of crashed examples started to appear for sale at various salvage yards across the country. One of these crashed C8 Corvette’s has now been repaired and brought back to its former glory thanks to an enthusiastic YouTuber.

The Corvette delivered to the YouTuber was painted Torch Red and appears to have escaped any serious mechanical damage. In fact, most of its damage was limited to the passenger side of the body, forcing the YouTuber to repair and/or replace various body panels.

Shortly after taking delivery of the car, the YouTuber begun the lengthy process of stripping it back before starting to repair the side of the ‘Vette, which necessitated the fitment of a new side radiator. He also acquired a new passenger door, rocker panel, front quarter panel, and rear quarter panel and rather than sending them to a shop to be painted, constructed his own spray booth in his front yard and painted them himself.

He also replaced the airbag modules and had an outside company repair the broken seatbelts. He notes that the longest part of the build was having the car parked at a Chevrolet dealership for five weeks waiting for them to install a new airbag control module.

The finished car looks as good as new and he says he plans on keeping the car. Considering all the work he put in to repair it, we don’t blame him.
