An orange McLaren 570S has been destroyed by fire at a gas station in Las Vegas.

Limited details are available about the fire but a video uploaded to YouTube by exotic car rental business Royalty Exotic Cars shows that the British supercar is a complete loss.

Footage captured from the scene shows that the rear-end of the McLaren was engulfed in flames and that the fire spread to the gas pump. Local fire crews quickly responded to the inferno but by the time they arrived, the car was already destroyed.

The video suggests that the 570S was likely owned by one of Royalty Exotic Cars’ competitors. They add that the driver of the McLaren had one of the firefighters pry open the frunk so they could collect their belongings before apparently jumping in an Uber and leaving the scene. If the car is indeed owned by a rental company, the driver better hope they paid for full insurance cover.

While the front fascia of the 570S escaped fire damage, the rear half has been destroyed and no parts will be salvageable.
